Steamed chocolate cake - Shared by Huang Jingfeng


1 1/2 cup brown sugar (can be reduced to preference)​3/4 cup cocoa powder
​1/2 cup butter​1 teaspoon baking soda
​2 eggs​1 1/2 cup low fat milk
​2 1/3 cup all-purpose flour​Optional: 1/2 cup of chopped healthy nuts


1. Line a steam container with an aluminium foil. Alternatively, you can grease the steam container

2. Put the butter and sugar into a large bowl and beat the mix. Then add eggs and beat well

3. Using a separate bowl, prepare the dry ingredients. Add flour, cocoa and baking soda. Then add the earlier butter mixture and milk and blend the ingredients well

4. Pour the mixture into the steam container. Cover the container top with another piece of aluminium foil and secure

5. Steam for 25mins

And it is ready! The Steamed Chocolate Cake is best served at room temperature.

About the participant

I'm glad to share my steamed chocolate cake recipe. It is a lot healthier than cakes sold in shops and we do not need to use an oven. It is also super fast to do!
