"I have journeyed with blood cancer patients for 20 years and they have been my biggest inspiration.  I remember visiting a patient before her bone marrow transplant, hoping to allay her fears about the procedure.  It turned out that she was the one encouraging me instead and I was very touched by her concern for nurses.  Since then, she has been an ambassador for the Myeloma Support Group and actively participates in activities such as making mooncakes for post-transplant patients in the Centre.  Her smile always brightens someone's day and other patients see her as the 'Walking Light of Hope' for them as they undergo their their treatment.  To all blood cancer patients, never give up!  We will always be alongside you in your journey."
