23 medical and nursing educators in Anaesthesiology came together for the SIMS Simulation Educators Training (SIMS SET) workshop held from 5 to 6 February 2021. Participants learnt how to design and develop simulation scenarios, as well as to facilitate effective debriefing in simulation to ensure optimal learning. In small groups, participants also had the opportunity to craft their own simulation scenarios, which were then put to the test by other groups acting as the ‘learners’. In observance of safety measures, groups were split between the simulation labs and control rooms, with final debriefing sessions carried out via Zoom so as to minimise intermingling between the groups.

Launched in 2016, SIMS SET is a signature training workshop organised by the SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute of Medical Simulation, and has trained over 200 educators with the foundational knowledge and skills to conduct high-quality simulation training programmes.
