The SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute of Medical Simulation (SIMS) is proud to announce that we are the first and largest healthcare simulation institute in Singapore and Southeast Asia to have achieved full accreditation across four campuses by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) – the leading healthcare simulation accreditation body in the world.

The sites that have successfully achieved accreditation include SIMS@Academia, SIMS@KKH, SIMS@SKH and SIMS@CGH.

The accreditation formally recognises SIMS' excellence in healthcare simulation in accordance with international industry standards in the areas of Assessment, Research, Teaching/Education and Systems Integration.

SIMS Co-Director, Prof Fatimah Lateef, SKH Campus Director (SIMS), Ms Sabrina Koh and SIMS staff received the SSH accreditation award at the International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH) 2020, held in San Diego, USA from 18 - 22 January. SIMS was also invited to speak at an accreditation panel at the IMSH 2020, which highlighted exemplary practices by top programmes.

The SSH accreditation is an important milestone in our vision to be a leading global institution in healthcare simulation. SIMS strives to provide quality healthcare simulation training with a comprehensive range of simulation modalities and cutting-edge technology in patient-centred environments, sharpening healthcare professionals' clinical skills for better patient care.
