Prolonged Inactivity Indoors Could Lead to Poorer Health and Weakened Muscles in Seniors
Many seniors have had to forgo their daily walks during circuit breaker. Josephine Wang, Senior Physiotherapist, SGH commented that confinement and inactivity predispose the elderly to a decline in their muscle strength, physical endurance and general physical health. She recommended seniors to consult their doctor or physiotherapist before engaging in any form of exercises.
