"There was a young patient of mine who suffered a severe brain injury. The team managed to help him progress from being completely dependent in all aspects of care to being able to move with supervision and even to return home requiring only moderate assistance in his self care. We never gave up on him.

It is in encountering patients like him, never giving up on them and then seeing the fruits of our labour that gives me great passion to continue the work I am doing.  I also enjoy motivating my patients to step out of their comfort zone so that they are able to achieve even more than they imagined, and I love that I am able to assist patients and families in the most practical and yet, meaningful tasks."
