"For me, senior orthoptists are a great source of inspiration.  They have guided me since I was a student, and taught me how to become a good orthoptist.  I have been an orthoptist for almost two years, and I enjoy what I do – but there are challenges sometimes.  The toughest is when I have to work with children.  Because they have short attention spans, I have to be quick in administering the tests and providing consultation!

I chose to pursue orthoptics because I enjoy working with people, and I want to create a positive impact on their lives. I am also fascinated by how our eyes work, so it's right up my alley.  This job has also taught me how to communicate more effectively – I feel that I am more and more confident each day."
