​"Giving to Academic Medicine furthers medicine in two ways. Firstly, it enables change by allowing us to also focus on research into diseases that are not as prevalent but nevertheless carry a substantive disease burden. Secondly, giving validates the work of healthcare professionals and our commitment to doing the best for our patients. 

I have come across good ideas that have great potential to improve patient care. Unfortunately, resources are always finite and not all good ideas can materialise due to funding issues.

Because of this, I actively explore new collaborations and funding opportunities that can have an impact on our research and projects that will ultimately benefit our patients. The opportunity to contribute is a privilege which I will always uphold to the highest standards."
