"I support cancer patients who have complex care needs, from the point of diagnosis to post-discharge and for some, end-of-life.  A cancer diagnosis is hard to take and patients often feel confused and fearful.  It helps to sit down with them to listen to their concerns, and explain treatment options and possible side effects in detail.  Being able to make informed decisions is really empowering, and my job is to help them and their families do that.

I'm with my patients every step of their healthcare journey, and it gives them great comfort to know that they can come to me for everything healthcare-related, including financial assistance, medication, home care resources, or simply when they need a listening ear.  When patients know they are well-supported in these areas, they worry less and are able to focus on getting well."
