Dr Kiattisa Sommat, Consultant, National Cancer Centre Singapore shared that many people associate cancer treatments such as chemotherapy & radiotherapy with negative side effects such as pain, vomiting, and hair loss.

As a result, people turn to alternative medicine such as acupuncture, juice cleanse and rather than standard treatments.

But, does it work? According to statistics, there is no evidence that alternative medicine can treat cancer. When it comes to treatments, it is highly encouraged to opt for standard methods which have been proven to increase survival rates.
