Calling all patients with chronic liver disease... help us to help you better!
Patients with chronic liver disease have a higher risk of developing
liver cancer. We are looking for participants with chronic liver disease to join our research study to develop better diagnostic tools and strategies for early liver cancer detection.
Who is eligible to take part in this study?
Patients 50 years old and above, except cirrhosis group 40 years old and above
Have one of the following chronic liver diseases
If selected, participants can expect to:
Receive at 6-monthly intervals for up to 7 visits:
Ultrasound
Liver function test
Other blood tests
Receive CT scans or MRI as indicated
Receive transport reimbursement if the investigations or scans are done at external clinics
Complete a set of questionnaires after every visit
Provide bio-samples (blood, urine and stool) for research for up to 7 visits

This study is led by Professor Pierce Chow, Senior Consultant from the Division of Surgery & Surgical Oncology at National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), and in collaboration with
Changi General Hospital (CGH), National University Hospital (NUH),
Singapore General Hospital (SGH),
SingHealth Polyclinics (SHP),
Sengkang General Hospital (SKH) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). SGH, CGH, SKH, NCCS and SHP are members of the
SingHealth group.
