Maintain good general health
In the defence against pandemics such as COVID-19, it is vitally important for healthcare workers to build-up and maintain their physical health. Good health shores up immunity and helps to minimise stress.
Cleanliness (which is next to Godliness)
As healthcare workers, it is important to wash your hands before and after patient care or procedures such as
Exercise (Move it! You'll love it!)
Exercise not only improves your fitness but it also releases stress.
Eat to live
Eat a nutritious and balanced diet.
Appropriate amounts from all food groups will give you the necessary nutrients.
Fruits and vegetables are especially important in strengthening immunity.
Of course, the occasional treat, to feed the inner self.
Drink up
Keep yourself well hydrated.
At least 6-8 glasses (also found in juice & soups) of water should do it.
Don’t drink too many caffeinated drinks and advisably no alcoholic drinks.
Rest and relax
You’ve been working hard in hospital and your body and mind need to rest and recharge. Make sure you get enough sleep and give yourself sufficient time and opportunities to relax!
