"For nurses, continuous learning allows us to improve our skills and confidently take on more complex tasks and responsibilities.  I often encourage junior nurses to embark on quality improvement and research projects because we cannot be complacent about the way we deliver care.

I have received so much kindness and had so many opportunities since I came to Singapore 20 years ago, so I hope to give back what I can to society. I have been a volunteer with the SGH Breast Cancer Support Group since 2008, providing support to survivors and conducting health screenings at community centres. I also join medical missions, travelling to rural communities in Cambodia and Indonesia to provide basic health education."
