"My team and I came up with the idea of a Synergy Board where nurses are encouraged to pen suggestions for improvement. The board serves as an avenue for nurses to explore innovative ideas to improve the workflow and processes. One of initiatives implemented is the provision of pressure relief mattress for bed-ridden patients to reduce the occurrence of pressure injuries.
Another example is the use of an industrial back support vest by nurses while lifting children who suffer from cerebral palsy. This has proved invaluable in enhancing workplace safety. There have been no reports of backache by the nurses since the implementation.
Through these innovations, we are changing the face of healthcare."
