"It is a privilege to help patients in managing their conditions.  Having the chance to interact with people from all walks of life, from young children to the elderly, is definitely my favourite part about working as an orthoptist.

On one occasion, I took my time to explain a patient's assessment results to his family members.  After I addressed each of their queries and concerns, they then told me how relieved and thankful they were for my help.  I felt so appreciated – it's one of my most memorable experiences at work."
