"Service to me is providing the same level of excellence as we would want for ourselves.  In fact, I have been nicknamed 'Bulldog' for my persistence. I don't believe anything should be taken for granted or left to chance.

One of my patients had a complicated pregnancy that sadly ended with the newborn passing away a few hours after birth. The heartbroken couple was in tears. I made special arrangements for the couple's older children to come in to say goodbye to the baby, and ensured that my patient was discharged in time to witness the burial.

Teenage pregnancy is tough and it is important that these young girls do not repeat the cycle when they are not financially, physically or mentally ready.  I often tell them that learning from the episode must make them stronger and more determined to succeed."
