SGH Campus Masterplan: Bringing the Vision to LifeThe journey has already started with Academia and the National Heart Centre Singapore’s new building. Here is a sneak peek at what is to come:
1) Diabetes & Metabolism Centre
One-stop centre offering co-ordinated care and facilities for patients with diabetes and metabolic conditions. Self-registration kiosks and centralised payment counters to reduce lengthy queues and waiting time
2) SGH Interim Accident and Emergency (A&E) & Campus Utilities Plant (CUP)
Expanded A&E capacity to cater to expected patient demand.
3) Outram Community Hospital – Connecting Care to the Community
Designed with patient rehabilitation in mind to allow for quicker recovery and a faster return to the community.
4) New National Cancer Centre Singapore
A new building set to offer Southeast Asia’s first Proton Beam Therapy Facility with medical, educational and research activities within a single institution; multi-disciplinary approach to cancer diagnosis and treatment.
5) New SGH
Phase 1 will comprise an Elective Care Centre and new National Dental Centre Singapore. Phase 2 will see capacity expanded to meet anticipated demand and improve accessibility to care by shifting facilities closer to transport nodes.
