Mini-strokes, also known as Transient Ischemic Attacks (TIA) are actually a warning sign. While they have the same symptoms as an actual stroke, these symptoms typically resolve completely within a few minutes, as the blood flow is re-established in time before permanent damage occurs. However, an individual who suffers from a TIA is, in fact, at a high risk for a stroke occurring soon after. Hence it is still important call 995 for prompt medical attention for early assessment and treatment to reduce risk of stroke.

Exercise helps in stroke recovery - active movement after stroke will help manage high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes that lead to severe stroke.
