The three institutions will pilot the first Active Health Lab at Our Tampines Hub in order to achieve better health through a safe and active lifestyle.

Initiated by Sports Singapore (SportsSG) on 28 July 2017, Active Health is a social movement to encourage the nation to be proactive in managing their health and wellness.   More than building exercise and active living infrastructure, the framework wants to work with strategic partners to provide education, programmes and networking opportunities for likeminded enthusiasts.

Among the first group of strategic partners for Active Health are SingHealth, Changi General Hospital (CGH), and Exercise is Medicine Singapore (EIMS), who will pilot the first Active Health Lab (AHL) at Our Tampines Hub.

The three signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to solidify the partnership in motivating the nation towards an active and healthy lifestyle.

Said CGH CEO and SingHealth Deputy Group CEO of Regional Health, Dr Lee Chien Earn, “Our expertise in sports medicine complements SportsSG’s capabilities and experience in fitness and wellness. We look forward to working together to develop solutions to help Singaporeans achieve better health through a healthy lifestyle in a safe and enjoyable way.”

The AHL is a new capability added to ActiveSG Sports Centres and integrated hubs, offering the expertise of allied health-certified Active Health Experts. Visitors to the lab will experience a personalised assessment in lifestyle habits and discover how they can live better and healthier.
