"Annually, we have close to 2,500 patients who require adhesive bandages after undergoing cardiac procedures. Previously, these patients always experience pain when the adhesive bandages over their procedural sites were removed.
We found that a simple application of olive oil prior to the removal of the adhesive bandages makes the removal process painless and at the same time, reduces potential skin tear. Providing excellent nursing care to our patients and ensuring their comfort is our priority. We will continue to look for innovative ways to improve the standard of care given to our patients."
