One of the challenges I experience as a Medical Social Worker (MSW) is managing patients’ expectations. Sometimes patients might be disappointed and upset when we are unable to offer the assistance that they are seeking, without knowing that we constantly try to improve the system. It can be challenging at times to find solutions for patients, who fall through the cracks.

One of the joys of being an MSW is having colleagues who empathise with me and cheer me up after a rough day. Thank you to everyone who offered a smile or a listening ear!
