The National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) successfully completed the first robotic-assisted lobectomy in Southeast Asia in August 2010. For the very first time in the region, the diseased lobe of a lung was removed using a sophisticated robotic system - the Da Vinci Si Dual.  This new development also made NHCS one of about 25 centres in the world to offer the robotic-assisted lobectomy surgery to its patients.
