"I got into radiology because I like to know 'what ails the patient' and I enjoy the challenge of problem-solving cases and providing clinicians with a diagnosis and guidance to further patient management. I read and interpret patients’ scans, and provide a report for every study. This involves finding abnormalities through some form of pattern recognition. Occasionally, I get to perform image-guided diagnostic procedures.
My training anchored my belief that patient care is a team sport; every healthcare professional the patient encounters plays a collaborative role in his/her care. I was also taught the importance of reflecting on my work and my actions to continually make small improvements that value adds to the team."
