​The incidence of stroke among adults who are in their sixties or seventies has been on the decline in the last 10 years, while the incidence of stroke among those aged between 30 and 59 years old has been on the rise in the past 10 years. Most people would assume that an ageing population would lead to a rise in incidence of stroke, but the facts show that this is not the case.
