The Women’s Health and Wellness Centre (WHWC) was launched in March 2022 to provide more accessible, comprehensive and confidential sexual health services to women at all stages of their lives.

“Every woman should be empowered to make decisions according to their sexual and reproductive choices, and receive respectful and holistic care,” shares Dr Suzanna Sulaiman, Head and Senior Consultant, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, KKH, who leads the new centre.

“The WHWC comprises six specialist clinics, pursuing a multi-factorial, multi-systemic approach to the sexual and psychological health, and rehabilitative care of women of all ages.”

A safe space for sensitive, specialised care

The WHWC clinics are run by care teams including medical specialists, psychologists and physiotherapists, providing comprehensive screening, diagnosis, treatment, counselling and follow-up care under one roof.

“As a tertiary institution dedicated to women’s health, we create a safe space for women to seek specialised help for issues which may be sensitive and confidential. We encourage empowerment of women to partner us in their own general well-being and health,” says Dr Suzanna.

“We hope to overcome barriers by alleviating fear through education and advocacy, and supporting each patient in exploring treatment options which best suit their personal needs and preferences,” adds Dr Suzanna.
