​Nasi lemak is one of the signature dishes in our region. However, it can be unhealthy with the high calorie, fats and salt content. According to Lee Rui Jia, Dietitian, SKH, dishes such as nasi lemak, laksa and curry use coconut milk and high amount of salt during its cooking process and hence, these dishes contain high amount of saturated fats and sodium. She provided tips on healthier cooking and replacing ingredients with healthier options.
