My patients' conditions can deteriorate drastically at any moment and it is my duty to be constantly vigilant and alert to recognise the dangers of these changes. I am responsible for the safety of my patients, and protecting them from potential harm such as infections and dislodgment of invasive lines and ventilators.
My best reward is seeing someone who was gravely ill, eventually improve and get well."
