"Speech therapy is not a profession that is widely known during my time.  I was attracted to this field after speaking with my school teacher, whose daughter was seeing a speech therapist for communication difficulties.  I have always had a passion for helping others, and the idea of being able to help them to enhance their communication abilities and improve functionality in life is what drew me to this profession.

Having a premature infant with feeding difficulties can be a very stressful experience for parents.  Being able to support them and ensure them that their infant is safe and can achieve his or her full potential later in life is extremely fulfilling, and it makes all my work worthwhile."
