"Being a physiotherapist not only allowed me to have direct interaction with my patients but I get to see them get stronger over time and form a special bond with them. One of my most memorable episodes involved a patient with chronic lower back pain. My journey with her included multiple sessions of assessment, exercise and education.
During her final physiotherapy session, she gave me a box of almond pineapple tarts that she had made herself and insisted I tried one. It was one of the best pineapple tarts I have tasted, and I immediately asked how she made them. Her simple reply to me: 'Because you taught me to get better and return to work, I will teach you how to make these tarts'."
