"My most memorable moment at SGH Histopathology was accomplishing something I didn't think I could!

In 2010, my supervisor, Prof Tan Puay Hoon asked me to apply for the Publish Award after knowing that I had first-authored 3 publications within the year.  I was sceptical, but tried anyway and that's when I won the award for the very first time!

I always found my career in research to be rewarding and not at all boring but Prof Tan gave me the mentorship and support I needed.  She guided me to think deeper scientifically and to be more productive in my research.  I'm really thankful to her, my breast pathology research team and my Histopathology laboratory colleagues, who actively support me despite their heavy routine workloads and make my work even better than it already is!"
