  1. Asst Prof Philip Pang Yi Kit
    Senior Consultant, Cardiothoracic Surgery

    Clinical Assistant Professor Philip Pang is a Senior Consultant and Deputy Head (Cardiac) at the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS). He completed his specialist training in cardiothoracic surgery in 2014 and was a recipient of the SingHealth Health Manpower Development Plan award in 2015. 
    As a researcher, his research interests include clinical outcomes of surgery for valvular heart disease (in particular mitral valve repair), coronary artery bypass surgery, heart failure surgery and extracorporeal life support.

  2. Asst Prof Chua Kim Chai
    Senior Consultant, Cardiothoracic Surgery
    National Heart Centre Singapore

    Clinical Assistant Professor Chua Kim Chai graduated from the University of Auckland, New Zealand in 2005 and started his surgical training soon after. He obtained his MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) and FRCS in Edinburgh in 2009 and 2015 respectively. Clin Asst Prof Chua is professionally licensed by the Singapore Medical Council (Specialist Registration) and the Medical Protection Society. His clinical interest is in minimally invasive cardiac surgery (MICS) and has completed MICS training in Canada in 2019.

  3. Asst Prof Zhu Ling
    Consultant, Cardiothoracic Surgery

    Clinical Assistant Professor Zhu Ling is a Consultant from the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at National Heart Centre Singapore. Her clinical interest is in adult cardiac surgery, in particular, mitral valve disease.

  4. Dr Wang DaoBo
    Senior Resident, Cardiothoracic Surgery
    National Heart Centre Singapore

    Dr Wang DaoBo currently serves as the chief resident in the Singapore integrated program for Cardiothoracic Surgery. He graduated from Yong Loo Lin school of medicine, NUS in 2015 and was admitted as a member of the royal college of surgeon (Edinburgh) in 2017. He started his training in cardiothoracic surgery in 2020 and is currently in the final year of the program. He has published various papers on extracorporeal life support and hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy.

  5. Ms Zhang Xiaoxia
    Nurse Clinician (Advanced Practice Nurse), Nursing Specialty Care Unit

    Effective perioperative care is essential to minimize risks, promote recovery, and improve long-term outcomes for patients.
    In this talk, we will cover key components, including preoperative assessment and postoperative care. The postoperative segment will focus on critical areas such as medication management, wound care, rehabilitation, and follow-up strategies, all designed to support patients in achieving the best possible recovery.
