Pre-diabetes: A growing problem

Without lifestyle changes, at least 35% of persons with pre-diabetes in Singapore will progress to type 2 diabetes over 8 years.

Type 2 diabetes is a serious condition that can lead to health issues such as heart attack, stroke, blindness, kidney failure, or loss of limbs.

Pre-diabetes is asymptomatic but predisposes individuals to serious health problems. Individuals will be at greater risk of developing diabetes, heart disease or stroke.
